Micuir

Clothing and Footwear Accessories

✩✩-✩✩✩

The name Micuir comes from the Spanish mi and the French cuir, and it means "my leather." That name sums up the whole idea behind the brand: a shoe isn't a billboard for flashing a logo. What matters here is comfort, quality, and style. Founder Elena Peña designs every model herself, shapes the lasts, and draws the patterns for the bags.

Before Micuir, Elena worked as a Project Manager for accessories at Agatha Ruiz de la Prada in Latin America. When she came back to Spain, she founded a company making fashion accessories, and in 2017 she launched her own shoe and bag brand. Why? Because she couldn't find shoes on the market that she actually wanted to wear herself. So she turned to Spanish craft traditions, with their natural designs and natural materials.

Today, Micuir's shoe range includes ballet flats, espadrilles, sandals, heels, ankle boots, and boots. There are also bags in all kinds of sizes and shapes, made from natural leather, straw, and palm fiber.

Here's the irony: the Micuir store sits in the middle of Madrid's most expensive, most prestigious shopping district, surrounded by big-name logos that can make your eyes glaze over. Finding something here that cares more about comfort, quality, and style than about the brand name feels especially unexpected and interesting.
