Seguso
✩✩✩✩
Venice is often called an open-air museum — and not just for its architecture. Some workshops here still create objects you can find in actual museums. One of them is Seguso, a family-run glassmaking dynasty dating back to 1397.
Just think about it: today, the business is led by the 23rd generation of the Seguso family.
Seguso produces hand-blown vases, glasses, sculptures and lamps — all made from Murano glass. Their work is known for refined shapes, rich colors and intricate textures. More than 100 museums around the world include Seguso pieces in their permanent collections.
Want to own something truly museum-worthy? Visit one of Seguso’s boutiques near San Marco or along Dorsoduro’s museum mile.
