✩✩-✩✩✩

Morueco Cerámicas was founded by Madrid-based ceramicist Sete Morueco on a straightforward principle: every piece is made by hand and exists only once. When it sells, it's gone.

The range includes vases, plates, mugs, jugs, oil jars, wall decor, ceramic animals, and amulets rooted in Mediterranean folk tradition. Alongside affordable hand-painted plates, jugs and vases, there are sculptural collections that sit closer to art objects than tableware.

Beyond Sete's own work, the shops carry pieces by over twenty makers from around the world, including pottery workshops with three hundred years of history.

The permanent shop is in Barrio de las Letras — Madrid's literary quarter, a five-minute walk from the Prado and Retiro Park — open daily except Monday.

On weekends from 11am to 3pm, Morueco also opens a second spot in La Latina, the neighbourhood that hosts El Rastro, Spain's largest flea market, every Sunday.
