Rosario Casteres Serrats is a San Sebastián native, professional architect and jewellery designer. In 2004, she opened an architecture studio in Bilbao together with her colleague Ignacio Barayazarra, working on renovation and new-build projects in the Basque Country. But in 2009, her career took an unexpected turn: for ten years, Charo went into the beauty industry, becoming an independent Mary Kay consultant and leading a team of over 200 people.

In 2017, whilst still doing this work, Charo began studying jewellery art at the Easo Polytechnic Institute in San Sebastián. And in 2019, together with Ignacio Barayazarra, she opened a new space — Espacio B+C in the San Martín neighbourhood, three blocks from the famous neo-Gothic Cathedral of the Good Shepherd. So don't be surprised when, instead of the expected jewellery shop window, you see the austere and minimalist façade of an architecture studio.

Here, both partners continue to work on interiors, shop windows and bespoke projects. And Charo Casteres's jewellery pieces, displayed in this studio, clearly demonstrate the kinship between contemporary jewellery art and architecture: in both, form, volume and understanding of the surrounding space are paramount.
