Alhamas

In the tiny town of Cervera del Río Alhama, in the province of La Rioja, espadrilles were born — traditional Spanish shoes with jute soles. Fewer than 3,000 people live here today, yet the town is home to at least 15 espadrille workshops, some dating back to the early 1700s!

The most famous brand from Cervera is Alhamas, founded by Lourdes Pomar — a local artisan and proud heir to a long family tradition. Alhamas has espadrilles for every taste and occasion: flat or platform soles, everyday looks or dressy styles — even bridal espadrilles for your big day.
