✩✩-✩✩✩

Onora was a weaver from Veracruz, renowned for her skill and for generously sharing her knowledge with younger generations. When American Maggie Galton and Mexican María Eladia Hagerman opened their Mexico City shop, they named it after her — a tribute to Mexican artisans that brings traditional craft into contemporary life.

Onora's collection focuses on stylish pieces for modern homes. Black clay pottery, hand-painted Talavera ceramics, woven copper baskets, textiles with Mayan motifs, tableware, candleholders, throws, cushions, tablecloths, vases. Everything is carefully selected to work in contemporary or Scandinavian interiors — spaces where handcrafted pieces become thoughtful accents, adding warmth without overwhelming the room or creating an ethnographic museum effect.

The location fits naturally: Polanco, surrounded by designer boutiques and restaurants from the World's 50 Best list.

Onora is for those who live in modern spaces with clean lines and neutral tones, but appreciate quality craftsmanship. If this describes your aesthetic, you'll find pieces here that integrate seamlessly into your home.
