Mvintage

Mvintage is probably the most recognisable jewelry brand in Malta. It was founded in 2012 by local designer and entrepreneur Krystle Penza, who wanted to create not just accessories but something that connected her personal values with the culture she grew up in.

Mvintage began as a small online shop and a kiosk at Tigné Point in Sliema. Krystle handled everything herself — from design and sourcing to packaging and bookkeeping. Today, Mvintage has become a brand with boutiques across the islands: from its flagship store on St Lucia Street in Valletta to locations in Iklin, Sliema, St Julian’s, Paola, Qormi, Victoria (Gozo) and Kalkara.

Mvintage is a direct reflection of Malta’s everyday landscape, turned into jewelry. You’ll find motifs of ancient coins — symbols of value and luck — traditional Maltese door knockers Il-Ħabbata, old keys Il-Muftieħ (symbols of new beginnings), and the island’s iconic wooden balconies Il-Gallarija. Familiar details and traditional patterns become bright pieces of jewelry, coated with enamel and gold plating — sometimes a little naive, but open, sincere, and unmistakably Maltese.
