In 2011, two women from Medellín, Manuela Rubio and Paola Betancur, opened their first 60-square-meter boutique with one simple idea: give young Colombian designers a place where people could see and buy their work. No one thought back then that this project would become one of Colombia's leading concept stores.

Over 15 years, Manuela and Paola developed an infallible instinct for real design. Today, Makeno brings together 120+ Colombian designers under one roof in El Poblado. Clothing, jewelry, accessories, home decor—every piece has passed strict curatorial selection.

This isn't just a store. They host parties, hold meetings with creators, and offer personalized tours of Medellín for those who want to see the city through local eyes. A whole ecosystem has formed here around Colombian creativity.

Makeno is located in El Poblado, Medellín's design district.
