Primavera: Colombian clothing, accessories and jewellery in Medellín
Primavera is a multi-brand store in Medellín selling exclusively Colombian designers and makers. Clothing, jewellery, accessories, decor, cosmetics — and a coffee shop for those who came not to shop, but for the company.
How it started
The story of Primavera began in February 2016, and quite unexpectedly.
Local entrepreneur Luz Estela and her son Andrés had a small business selling houseplants and succulents. When a space became available on Vía Primavera, in the upscale El Poblado neighbourhood, they decided to take it.
But the space turned out to be too big for plants alone, so they decided to invite other local entrepreneurs to join.
The response surprised even them: everyone they spoke to said yes straight away. The store opened with thirty-five brands. Today there are more than a hundred.

What's inside
Women’s clothing: dresses, shirts, t-shirts, skirts, trousers, jeans, swimwear, pyjamas, lingerie. Menswear: t-shirts, shorts, joggers, shirts. Footwear: boots and trainers. Bags and backpacks.
Jewellery: necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets. Accessories: sunglasses, watches, enamel pins. Home decor: candles and ceramics.
There is also a beauty and personal care section: haircare, body products, soap, perfume. And, of course, what it all started with: plants, pots, terrariums.

The coffee shop
At the entrance to the boutique, you are greeted by a coffee shop specialising in single origin coffee. You can choose your brewing method, order a dessert and settle in on the terrace.
The idea is simple: while one person browses the shop, the other relaxes with a cup of coffee instead of standing by the door like a tragic guardian of someone else’s shopping.
Or you can come with no intention of shopping at all — just for a good cup of coffee in a pleasant spot.
Where to find Primavera in Medellín
Primavera has four locations in the city: the flagship on Vía Primavera, a shop in Viva Envigado mall, a spot in the Manila neighbourhood and another in Florida mall.
We recommend the flagship, of course: it has the widest selection and the terrace café.
And Vía Primavera itself is worth a visit. It is a quiet, tree-lined street in El Poblado where young Colombian designers have set up shop over the years.
Today it is one of the city’s main hubs for independent fashion, design and gastronomy — a place worth strolling through even if you have no intention of buying anything.
